Featuring a variety of materials, the exhibition showcases the intricate production processes and aesthetic accomplishments of Spain’s video game industry.
The exhibition aims to map the distinctive characteristics of the current Spanish video game development scene, highlighting national excellence and contextualizing it within international markets. In its dialogue with Japan, the exhibition featured works by the Spanish studios Herobeat Studios, Tequila Works, Fictiorama, Nomada Studio, Péndulo Studio, Deconstructeam, The Game Kitchen, Out of the Blue Games, and Brainwash Gang. These pieces shared the space with Japanese artists Yoshitaka Amano, who created a reinterpretation of the cover for Herobeat Studios’ Endling: Extinction is Forever (2023), and Ryuichi Nishizawa, who was responsible for a reinterpretation of the cover for Out of the Blue Games’ American Arcadia (2023)
