“Video Games: The Two Sides of the Screen” invites visitors on a journey to discover aspects of the gaming world they may never have imagined.

In less than 50 years, video games have expanded their boundaries, both on and off the screen, generating a significant impact on culture and society and becoming an engine for technological and scientific change. The exhibition Video Games: The Two Sides of the Screen invites you to journey through the vast territory they have generated, exploring their implications across multiple facets of modern life.

The exhibition takes visitors on a journey where they will understand how a video game is made and explore its connections with film, music, and other arts. They will also discover things they may never have imagined—such as the economic and labor implications of the video game industry, its capacity to generate collective knowledge, its sociocultural impact, its artistic dimension, and even the ways in which video games are pioneering new forms of scientific research.
