Papers, Please in Madrid: Chronicle of an Unforgettable Event

February 24, 2014 · MadridEvent

A resounding success! The press conference that Josué Monchan and I organized at Arsgames place for the presentation of the Spanish version of Papers, Please attracted virtually all media outlets in the sector, as well as a good number of Madrid-based game developers.

It was a real pleasure to have Lucas Pope, the game’s developer, at the event. The day turned into a true celebration of independent games that left both attendees and ourselves more than satisfied — our efforts were rewarded with media coverage that exceeded all our expectations.

Media coverage

The event received impressive media coverage, both nationally and internationally. Here’s a compilation of the news that was published:

Organizing the event

This event was made possible thanks to the joint work of Josué Monchan. Josué was the main driving force and organizer, handling most of the logistics and coordination, while I took care of the venue management. It was a great collaboration that resulted in one of the most memorable events of the year in the Madrid indie scene.
