Techno-ludic Approaches for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue

On October 19, I presented the results of the project «Techno-ludic Approaches for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue» at Canòdrom – Ateneo de Innovación Digital y Democrática in Barcelona.

This project, winner of the 2021 General Grant Call of the Barcelona City Council, was developed within the framework of ARSGAMES, where I acted as researcher alongside Luca Carrubba and Déborah L Rivas, with the collaboration of Audir.

The aim of the study was to highlight the challenges and potential of games —both analog and digital—to promote interreligious and intercultural dialogue, with a special focus on the city of Barcelona.

To this end, we carried out a participatory process based on a situated ethnography with different groups representing the religious diversity of the city, and we produced a report that includes research on
the representation of religions in video games, along with a set of technoludic dynamics to foster interculturality.
